STEAM Camp 2017 in The Gambia

Born out of Clifton Park Baptist Church, a congregation with a strong Gambian presence and a history of annual mission trips to The Gambia, the Clifton Park Academy recently hosted its very first international mission and leadership service-learning experience for youth from the United States. We are excited to report that in June 2017 we traveled with 7 middle and high school students to The Gambia, West Africa.

Our youth served as junior counselors at a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) Camp which was offered to the children in The Gambia. The camp was in partnership with the Gambian Ministry of Education and served 70 of the top students selected from schools throughout the country. This was a very successful and rewarding endeavor.
